Starting from 2014, Chroot Network SRL is a member of the RIPE international register, thus being able to offer IP address allocation services and provider numbers (AS). After registration, you are the Owner of the right to use the resources and you can dispose of them as you wish, as long as you respect the regulations in force.
An AS Number is a unique identifier used in the Internet world to mark and differentiate autonomous networks. An autonomous network can be an Internet Service Provider (ISP), a large corporation, or any other entity that operates an independent communications network. The AS number serves as an essential element in the routing process of Internet traffic and provides control over how data is routed between various networks.
By obtaining your own AS Number, we give you the ability to manage and control BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routes for your network. This allows you to decide how data is routed to and from your network. An AS Number allows you to connect to multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and benefit from a redundant connection and greater network stability. The AS number defines your identity in the Internet world and can help develop a strong reputation in the online community.
Applying for an AS Number is simple and easy through our service. Complete the online form below to begin the allocation process. Our team will guide you through every step of the process and help you get your desired AS Number in the shortest possible time.
PA IP addresses are spaces allocated by the provider to customers who need small IP address spaces< 256 . PA allocations can also be made in blocks larger than> 256 customers with an AS number just like PI spaces. IP addresses are spaces greater than> 256, and are assigned to customers who have an AS number and have at least 2 connections to different internet providers to perform dynamic BGP routing.
The AS (Autonomous System) number is used by companies and ISPs that have at least two ISPs and want to perform dynamic routing and traffic balancing based on the BGP protocol.
RIPE – Réseaux IP Européens is a forum for entities interested in developing the Internet. The main objective of the RIPE community is to ensure the continuity of its technical and administrative coordination.
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is the routing protocol used in the core of the Internet. It maintains a table with IP networks (or “prefixes”) showing the path used to reach that network through the various autonomous systems (AS). BGP is therefore considered a vector-path routing protocol (as opposed to vector-distance protocols, which do not keep the whole path). BGP does not use the same metrics as the routing protocols used within ASs, but makes decisions based on the routing policies and policies of the autonomous system of which it is a part.
